The 6oth work of art for this art project "One painting a day in 2015" was completed today (March 1, 2015). The objective is to complete a painting each day for the entire year of 2015, in any medium, any size, or any subject matter whether it is abstract or representational. The image will be uploaded on Facebook daily with the date , title of work, medium, and dimensions. Also, a number will be designated for each work on each day that the painting is completed...i.e. PAINTING # 1 on January 1, etc. There are 305 more paintings to work on (and be completed) before December 31, 2015. The "works in progress" will be documented on this blog. The works, so far, have been all abstract in content, but with an underlying concept based on the Pacific Ocean Islands and the entire Pacific Rim. The palette ranges in colors from both cool and warm hues representing earth, air, fire, and water...the 4 basic elements of nature and the earth's environment. The recent paintings are based on volcanoes, while the earlier works were about the Pacific Ocean.

2015 ~ A New Year.
Since New Year's Day, January 1, 2015, I started doing a painting a day. My goal is to complete 365 small works by the end of the year. So far, I'm keeping my focus and have complete 14 oil paintings and acrylics on plywood panels, based on a cool color scheme and abstract concepts based on geometric shapes and color fields of primary blues, greys, white and touches of yellows and red.
Very basic.
